what's on
There are a number of different activities taking place at Holy Trinity during the week. We'd like to draw your attention to some of these.
Smarties
Meets once a week on a Thursday at 10:15 to 12:00 in our hall (term-time). Please note Smarties will not be running or either 30th May or 13th June!
A toddler group catering from the youngest baby to the pre-school child. There is lots of space, loads of toys, action songs and a place for parents and carers to come and relax and have a warm welcome and there is even free tea and biscuits!
Trinity Tigers
Meet as regularly as we can to play & practise, normally on a Saturday morning. The church football team consists of loads of enthusiasm and mixed talent(!), although there have been successes in the last few years, achieving a place in the final of the Churches League Cup. New talent always wanted!!
Focus on Men
As well as football, there are blokes involved in all manner of sports from badminton to football and lots in between. Social activities are always a good way of having fun, exchanging banter and having a good laugh usually at one another’s expense. Forthcoming events include a skittles evening, karting, laser quest, a Saturday morning breakfast with invited speaker and a walking weekend away.
Care for the Elderly
At Holy Trinity we seek to care for the elderly in our congregation and in the wider community, through the provision of Wednesday morning coffee morning, Cell Groups, home visits, monthly services of Holy Communion in the Residential Care Homes and weekly in Barton Court Day Centre. A Care for the Elderly team coordinates this ministry led by James & Lorna McMullen.
Outlook
Outlook is part of a national organisation that seeks to connect with the over 55s. Our aim is to let them know how much Jesus loves them. Tewkesbury Outlook is ecumenical and includes members from a number of different churches. Outlook holds services in sheltered housing complexes in Tewkesbury three times a year.
Churches Together in Tewkesbury
All the churches meet together at various times throughout the year, normally at a Sunday evening service to pray and worship God. It’s a time of unity with the sole aim of serving our wider community. The Ministers also meet regularly together for mutual support & discussion.
Please contact the church office if you would like more details.
